Flights to Bhutan offers you the most majestic view of the Eastern Himalayas and landing here in Paro International Airport is yet another lifetime experience.
On arrival, our Guide will be holding your name cards, offering you the white scarf signifying the purity and compassion, our expert team will brief you shortly and transfer you to the hotel.
Later we will stroll around Thimphu downtown, the capital city of Bhutan. Thimphu is probably the only capital city without any traffic lights in the world.
Overnight & Dinner: Yarkay Hotel Thimphu| Acclimatization Day
Driving Distance: 10 – 15km | highest Point Alt: 2500m ASL
After enjoying a warm sunrise and a healthy breakfast, we will embark on a drive to the historic monument. Our journey will begin with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a monument erected in 1974 in honor of the Third King. This is a perfect spot to capture beautiful portraits of the locals.
Next, we will drive up to Buddha Point, located at the top of Kuenselphodrang Nature Park’s hill. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. The massive three-story base of the Buddha houses a grand chapel filled with 125,000 smaller Buddha statues. This statue is renowned as the largest Buddha in the world.
Overnight & Dinner: Yarkay Hotel Thimphu
After a leisurely breakfast, we will head to the Textile Museum, where you can explore a variety of textiles and intricate weaving patterns collected from across Bhutan. In the past, textile weaving was a major source of income for the Bhutanese people.
In the afternoon, we will visit the historic Tashichoe Dzong in Thimphu, a remarkable fortress that houses the offices of His Majesty the King as well as the administrative headquarters of Bhutan.

Driving Distance: 79 km| highest Point Alt: 3150m ASL| 2 Horus Drive After a leisurely breakfast, we will embark on a scenic drive to Punakha Valley, passing through the stunning Dochula Pass, renowned as the most beautiful pass in Bhutan. From here, you’ll be able to take in breathtaking views of the entire Eastern Himalayan range, including the sacred snow-capped peaks.
We’ll stop for photos and enjoy a warm cup of tea, with an opportunity to use the washroom. You’ll also have the chance to admire the 108 stupas, built in commemoration of Bhutan’s victory in a historic war.
Later, we will continue our journey down to the Punakha Valley and check into our hotel, ready to unwind and relax.
Overnight and Dinner: Dhumra Farm Resort
Driving Distance: 10 – 15km | highest Point Alt: 1500m ASL
After a relaxed breakfast, we will visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most remarkable and historically significant fortresses. Built in the 17th century by the great founder of Bhutan, Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it stands as a symbol of the country’s rich heritage.
Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverside, taking in the breathtaking view of the crystal-clear water flowing smoothly from the Himalayas.
Later in the afternoon, we will visit Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
In the evening, we will return to the hotel to unwind and enjoy the rest of the evening at our leisure
Overnight and Dinner: Dhumra Farm Resort
Driving Distance: 25 km | highest Point Alt: 1500 m ASL
After the delicious organic farm breakfast, we will slowly drive to Wangdue Phodrang Ditrict, to visit the beautiful Wangdue Dzong. This stunning Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, is a fortress renowned for its intricate wooden carvings and beautiful paintings. This remarkable site has become a favorite for photographers.
There are stunning viewpoints on the opposite side of the river, where we can drive you to experience a breathtaking aerial view of the fortress.
Overnight & Dinner: Dhumra Farm Resort
Driving Distance: 140 km | highest Point Alt: 3150m ASL| 3 Hours Drive
After breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Paro, taking the scenic route through Dochula Pass. This will provide a second chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the sacred Himalayas. Along the way, we will also make a stop at the Royal Botanical Park, where you can relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of birdsong while breathing in the fresh air, accompanied by tea and coffee.
We will then continue our drive to Paro, with a possible stop in Thimphu for lunch, depending on our timing. Alternatively, we may choose to proceed directly to Paro for lunch
Overnight & Dinner: Lee Meridian Paro Riverfront
Driving Distance: 20 km | Highest Alt: 2250m ASL |30 mins Drive
After enjoying a luxurious breakfast, we will take you on a sightseeing tour of Paro, renowned for its sacred Tiger’s Nest Monastery. First, we will visit the roadside viewpoint, where you can admire the breathtaking view of this holy Buddhist temple perched on the cliffside, overlooking the Paro Valley.
Later, we will take a leisurely stroll through Paro town, enjoy a relaxing coffee, and then head back to the hotel.

Driving Distance: 37 km | Highest Alt: 3988m ASL |1 ½ Hours Drive
After our breakfast we will start our drive to Chelela Pass, the highet motorable pass in Bhutan. Here we will try to see the view shortly and make some nice picture stops around.
Later we will come back and enjoy the bird eye view of the Paro International Airport in Bhutan. We will also visit the Vegetable markets to explore some of the organic veggies we grow in Bhutan. If you wish you can also buy some Organic Species for the curry.
Overngith & dinner: Lee Meridian Paro Riverfront
Flying back to Indian – by Druk Air on the wings of Dragon to Kolkatta
This morning, we will say our final goodbye at Paro International Airport, wishing you a safe flight and a wonderful journey ahead as you return home
