Detailed Itinerary
After arrival at Guwahati Airport, we will start our drive to Samdrup Jongkar. On the way in the India side enclosure to wetland near rubbish dumpsite we will watch some plains migratory birds like, great and lesser Adjutant, Purple Heron, Pied Kingfisher, Bronzed-winged jacana etc.
Later in Samdrup Jongkhar, we will check some birding places for Jungle fowl, asain Koel, House Crow, Coppersmit Barbet, Falvousbreated Woodpecker and Greater Golden Back, Ashy wood swallow and Black-naped Monarch etc.
Overnight: Hotel Mountain Holiday
We will start early morning today to explore the tropical forest which is one best spot for bridwatching on the way up to Tashigang from Deothang. There are great opportunities to see Oriental Pied Hornbills, Red Headed Trogon the most beautiful species of Trogon in the world.
Golden Fronted leafbird, lineated barbets, black hooded oriole, Taiga Flycathcer and scarlet minivet birds can be possibly seen tomorrow.
Overnight: Druk Dedjung Resort | Lingkhar Lodge – Best Hotel in Tashigang|Eastern Bhutan
We will check out very early morning, to Mongar via Korila Pass. As we ascend up to Korila, we will stop shortly for observing birds here like. We will also get to see some of the birds like the family of babbler and laughing thrushes,
Later in the eveing we will also walk closeby the strems for Ruffous necked trepie, beautiful nuthatch and doves. Whole of Limithang and Yongkola slope is believed to be the paradise for the bird watchers in Bhutan.
Overnigt & Dinner: Trogon Vila
Early morning, we will start our drive to Panbang though the beautiful tropical forest and subtropical forest where lot of birds and animals are seen in the areas.
In the morning, we will get to see beautiful birds’ family of Minivet and Trogon, Fork Tail Drango and racket tail drango with sun bird and humming bird.
Later in the evening, we will see even beautiful species of birds from the subtropical region of Bhutan. These birds are even more beautiful.
Overnight & Dinner: Pangbang Eco Lodge
Early morning we will set a breakfast in the jungle along with the chirping of the birds. Manas National Park is in fact, one of the most beautiful places for the birdwatchers in Bhutan. This is where the bird enthuisat must explore.
Here we will be able to see, drongos, hornbills, partridges, pheasants, bulbuls, tree pies, barbets, eagles, fowls and many other species.
Hornbills like, rufus necked hornbills, pied hornbill and great hornils are the main attraction. Even the rarest birds like Trogon can be seen sometime.
Overnight & Dinner: Pangbang Eco Lodge
In the morning, we will start our drive gradually up to Tingtibi, which is another hotspot for the birds’ lovers in Bhutan.
There are chances to see White billed Heron, which are the rarest birds. Green Leaf Birds, serpent eagle, hornbills, and green pigeon can be seen today.
Apart from the birds, we will also get to see photogenic languor, Martins and brown monkeys.
Overnight & Dinner: Tingtibi Campsite
After our breakfast we will continue our bird watching season on the way. The nature and landscape is really beautiful, with the dense forest where it is the main hub for the birds to enjoy.
We will try to take a Picnic lunch today, where we will stop on the way for our lunch alongside with the beautiful scenery.
Later in the evening, we will drive close by areas to see some peacock and Jungle Fowl if possible.
Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Kuku grand or similar
After our early breakfast, we will start our drive to Tsirang. On the way we will stop for watching brids at Laring waterfall areas.
Rufous Sibea, gray back tits, tree creepers and kingfishers can be seen today.
Later in the evening, we will explore closer to the river for sand dipper, river lapwing etc..
Overnight & Hotel: Wangdue Eco Lodge
Morning after our breakfast, we will check out for the hotel head towards Phochu Riverside for observing rare White billed Heron. We may spend most of the time here closer to the riverside.
Later we will also pay a visit to the most impressive Punakha fortress.
Towards the evening, we will start our drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
Overnight & Dinner: Termalinaka Resort
In the morning, we will visit the biggest Buddha statue which is overlooking the whole of Thimphu City.
Slowly we will start driving to Paro, and on the way we will stop in riverside to observe some river birds.
Evening, we will stroll around the Paro town.
Overnight & Dinner: Tashi Namgay Resort
Early morning, we will plan our hike and there are beautiful species of birds on the trails of Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
We will pay a visit to the most amazing and iconic site of Bhutan, the Tiger’s Nest monastery.
Later in the evening, we will make a interesting farewell dinner and hot stone bath in the farm house.
Overnight: Tashi Namgay Resort
This morning our guides and driver will bid you farewell in the Paro International Airport. Flight from Paro is said to have the most amazing view of whole Himalayan mountain Ranges including Mount Everest.
Therefore this would be a lifetime experience to take a flight from Paro.
