Detailed Itinerary

Welcome Ceremony on Arrival!

Landing here at Paro international airport itself is a lifetime experience for the travelers. Shortly we will brief you about the day programs and head to witness the most popular Paro festival, which is indeed the oldest and crowded festival in Bhutan. Today would be a day to collect some interesting Bhutanese portraits.  

Lunch at Paro Town and we will start our drive to Thimphu. In the evening we will visit Tashichoe Dzong which houses the monk’s school and administration offices. Later in the  evening we will stroll around the city.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Amodhara or similar

After our breakfast we will visit the national memorial chorten, which is built in memory of the Third king in 1974. Here we will offer our prayers for the peaceful journeys in Bhutan.

We will also visit the Takin’s reserved area to see our national animal of Bhutan and check few other places as per our needs. Later we will take a quick visit at Semtokha Dzong and start our drive to Tsirang via Dochula Pass, which is the most beautiful pass of Bhutan with breathtaking views of the whole eastern Himalayas.

In the afternoon we will drive further down to Tsirang, Sergithang, by crossing the Highway tunnel closer to the dam site, where we have the biggest power project going on. Towards the evening we will be reaching to our hometown.  We must be the first among the tourist in the history in this village; the road would be quite rough today.

Overnight & Dinner: Farm Stay

After our breakfast we will start our drive to the small village known as Patala, later named it as a golden village, Sergithang. If Possible we will try to visit the school and meet the students from the village.

We will try to visit some the villagers to interact with them asking them about their organic farm works.

Lunch at one of the local house and visit the cardamom plantation and his organic fruits and vegetable nursery.

Towards the eveing we will also visit the poultry farming in Bhutan and stop for tea. We will also stroll around the Gelephu Town.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Kuku Grand or similar

After our breakfast we will start our lovely drive to the most amazing National Park, known as Royal Manas National Park of Bhutan. Today we would have the most amazing but lengthy drive to reach our park. The highlight of the day would be watching the birds and languor of different species.

Reaching Praling Village, we will make a hike downhill to the beautiful hot spring known as Duenmang Tsachu. In the evening, we will enjoy soaking ourselves in the hot spring with the locals.

Overnight & Dinner: Local Guest House

Early Morning we will start our hike to the highway and we will stop for our breakfast at Local restaurant. After that we will start our drive further down to Panbang, in the Royal Manas National Park.

Panbang is a paradise for the bird and wildlife photography. In the afternoon, we will try to visit the Royal Manas National Park and try Elephant Safari.

Later in the evening we will be having our wonderful evening with camp fare, singing and dancing with the locals along with their tasty local wine at Panbang Eco Campsite.

Dinner & Overnight: Panbang Eco Lodge

After our breakfast we will make school visit and learn something about our morning assembly of the student along with their daily social works like cleaning campus etc. After that we will start our drive to Mongar. The Nature and landscape scenery is breathtaking this side. It is totally offbeat where very less travelers get to reach these places. Today we will totally enjoy with our own time with the nature like birding and learning about the nature.

We will enjoy our picnic lunch, afternoon; we will drive closely to the hydro Dam site, to Mongar. We will also visit Gyelpozhing High School, where I have studied before.

Evening we will stroll around the small Mongar Town.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Wangchuk or similar

Morning after our breakfast we will start our day to Lhuentse, to visit the most famous Guru Padmasambhava Statue at Takila. The Guru statue here is gigantic and amazing overlooking the whole of Lhuentse village.

We will also visit Lhuentse Dzong, which is where ancestral monarch was from. Later on our way back, we will walk around the suspension bride for photography around.

Later after our dinner, we will also visit the local bar and Karaoke for fun

Dinner: Dinner at Local Resturant. Overnight: Wanghcuk Hotel or similar

After our breakfast we will start our drive to Mongar. Here on the way we will also visit the most sacred Dramtse Goenpa, the most popular among the oldest temple in the country.

Later in the afternoon, we will check in to our hotel at Tashigang. Towards the evening, we will also visit the Tashigang Dzong, the historical fortress.

Later in the evening we will walk around the small town.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Druk Dedjung

Today after our leisurely breakfast we will visit Sacred Gomkora Temple. Here we may continue our drive to Tahiyangtse and Back (depending on the road block timing) or we will visit to see the Monastic school at Ranjung Yoeselchoeling Monastery.

We will drive upto the little village of Radhi and visit the Buddhist nunnery.

Evening, we will back in the hotel and refresh.

Overnight and Dinner: Druk Dedjung or similar

After our early breakfast, we will start our journey to Bumthang the central Bhutan, which is considered the most holy district in Bhutan. Many people considered Bumthang District as mini Switzerland. Today’s highlight would be landscape photography with the shrine nature with the waterfall and birds.

Later towards the afternoon, we will also make a village hike at Ura village at Bumthang.

Overnight and Dinner: Kaila Guest House or similar

We will start visiting Jambay Lhakhang the oldest Buddhist temple in Bhutan, which remarks the history of Buddhism in our country. Later we will also visit Kurje temple and we will start our journey to Trongsa.

We will also visit Trongsa Dzong, which overlooks the meanders of the Mangdue Chhu River.

Later in the evening we will walk around the little Trongsa town and walk back to our hotel.

Overnight and Dinner: Yangkil Resort or similar.

We will check out from the hotel and head towards western Bhutan, where we have valley of Black necked cranes known as Phobjikha Valley. We will make a hike around this valley for 2 hours (depending upon the time and drive further down to Punakha Valley. We will also visit the oldest monastery of Gangtey known as Gangtey Goenpa.

Overnight and Dinner: Hotel Pema Karpo or similar

After our breakfast we will check out from our hotel and drive to the most impressive fortress in Bhutan known as Punakha Dzong which is located in the middle of the two river.

We will also walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan which connect the remote valley of Mandagang and Sengana with the fortress.

Later in the afternoon, we will start retracing our journey to Thimphu Via the Dochula Pass, from where we are going to have the breathtaking view of the Himalayas and 108 sacred stupas.

Later in the evening we will take a walk around the Paro town.

Overnight & Dinner: Metta Resort or Similar

After over pack breakfast we will start our hike to the most holy and revered temple in Bhutan known as Tiger’s Nest Temle, which is often listed on their bucket list by many travelers. It is one the most iconic site in Bhutan where one must go in their lifetime.

Afternoon, we will try some outdoor activities playing archery the national game of Bhutan.

Overnight & Dinner: Metta resort or similar

After our breakfast, we will drop you and bid you farewell at the Airport, where sadly we depart from here.
