Detailed Itinerary

After our arrival at Guwahati Airport, our team will brief you with the days plan. Shortly we will start our drive to Samdrup Jongkhar, the southeast Border town of Bhutan with India.

On the way, you will get to see Trans Boundary River known as Brahmaputra River which flows though Tibet, Northern India and Bangladesh. The paddy field around Small town of Rangya is beautiful and refreshing and the mountains views are spectacular. If you have morning flights, the sunrise view of breathtaking.

Later in the evening, we will process our immigration formaties and check in to our hotel.

Overnight: Druk Mountain Hotel or Similar

After our breakfast, we will start our drive to Tashigang, the most beautiful place in the eastern Bhutan. Road gradually takes you higher after each curve taking you through the high hills and mountains. More higher we ride, more spectacular the landscape. Lunch will be in one of the local restaurant at Warmwrong town.

The youth development center is worth a visit, where you can get to see the locals weaving textiles. They display their beautiful and authentic hand-woven products. Later in the evening, we will check in to our cozy hotel. Druk Dedjung hotel overlooks the Gamrichu River. In the morning, the low lying valley fogs are just breathtaking to watch. It will be a wonderful capture if you try to make a time-lapse.

Overnight: Druk Dedjung

After our early breakfast, we will start our amazing day excursion to the little valley of the nomads known as Merak and Saketen. This group of people who raise lots of yaks and their dairy products are known as Brokpas, meaning Highlanders. This village is easily above 3500 meters above the sea level which comes under the Sakten wildlife sanctuary. Therefore we need to process for the park permits to make a visit here. The traditional attire of these Brokpas is just amazing! We must need to try wearing this special costume with them, it will be an experience. Later in the afternoon, we will retrace our drive back to Tashigang.

Late afternoon, there will be a beautiful sunset scene with the paddy fields of Radhi village of Tashigang. We will get to visit the beautiful Rangjung Monastery on the way.

Overnight: Druk Dedjung

In the morning after our breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and start our new and amazing day to Mongar, what is known to be the eastern Bhutan’s capital city. Here we will enjoy taking delicious hot picnic lunch. On our way, we will pay a visit to the must historical monastery known as Drametse Goenpa, founded in 1511 by Ani Chhoten Zangmo, the granddaughter of Terton Pemalingpa.

Later we will continue our drive to Tashigang crossing Serchu Zam, gradually climbing higher to the small town of Yadi and Korila Pass.

Later in the evening, we will stroll around the small town of Mongar enclosure to our hotel.

Overnight: Wangchuk Hotel

We will enjoy our breakfast at the balcony listening at the chirping of the birds. Afterwards we will start our beautiful day to Lhuentse District, the ancestral hometown of our King of Bhutan. Here we have the most to visit statue of Guru Nagse Zillion, which is at the height of 154ft tall, peacefully overlooking the valley surrounded with the paddy fields. Evening we will interact with the locals in their house. It is always an experience to be with the locals folks.

Overnight: Farm House

After a last picture session with the local family at Lhuentse, we will retrace our journey back to Mongar. Stopping at a Khoma Village of Weaving is always worth a visit. Here is place where the most intricate weaving tradition has started. They still display their beautiful products for sale. These are expensive textile pieces in Bhutan, just because of their complicated weaving with time consuming patterns and design.

Later we will continue our drive back to Mongar with lunch on the way in a local resturant. Towards the evening, along with the sunset, we will take long exposure pictures with the crystal clear river flowing downstream.

Overnight: Wangchuk Hotel

After our breakfast, we will start our most wonderful road trip to Royal Manas National Park in Panbang under Zhemgang District. We will be blown-off with the breathtaking view of the nature. The changes in the vegetations and birds of different species are the main highlight of the day. Here are the places of wildlife photography in Bhutan. There are some of the critically endangered species of birds and languor on the way.

We will enjoy the Lunch in the Nature simply, best offbeat trails in Bhutan. No tourist, just beautiful nature, with chirping and hovering of birds over the gentle breeze. This could be an experience and memories for lifetime.

Overnight: Eco Lodge Panbang

Breakfast sitting under the trees, enjoying the flow of river could be another experience for sure. We will take a Elephant safari in Royal Manas National Park.

Later in the afternoon, we will try river rafting for adventure. If you wanted to try, we will also do recreational fishing in this river.

In the evening, we will enjoy bonfire with folk dances.

Overnight: Panbang Eco Lodge

 

After our early Breakfast, we will start our interesting journey to Gelephu. On the way, we will totally dedicate ourselves in bird watching. Brid watching is truly amazing, especially with photography.

Later in the evening we will stroll around the gelephu town, which is going to be a biggest megacity of Bhutan, around 10 years down the line.

Overnight: Hotel Kuku Grand

After our breakfast, we will check out from our hotel and process our exit immigration formalities. Here we have a trusted Indian partner for transporting safely to Indian airport of Guwahati.
