Detailed Itinerary

After arrival, we check in to our hotel and refresh. Later we will visit the Paro National Museum, which houses lot of antique art and artifacts. We will also make a refreshing walk down from the museum to the Paro Rinpung Dzong, which takes about, 15 minutes downhill.

Later in the evening, we will stroll around the Paro town.

Overnight & Dinner: Metta resort or similar

Early morning we will start our hike to the most iconic Buddhist site in the world, commonly known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. It is located high above Jagathang Village in the middle of the granite cliff overlooking the valley down. It was believed that Guru Rimpoche and many other Buddhist revered masters like, Thangtong Gyalpo – The great Iron Bridge man, Zhamdrung Ngawang Namgyal – The unifier, Lama Gyalse Tenzin – the founder of the Tiger’s Nest Monastery has meditated here and made this place so holy.

Later in the evening, we will start our drive to Thimphu

After our breakfast we will visit memorial Chorten, where we have better opportunity to collect Bhutanese Portraits. We will drive up to Buddha statue, the biggest sited Buddha in the world which is 169ft tall.

We have interesting hike from here to Kuenselphodrang Nature Park for 2 hours. The highlight of this hike is, it has breathtaking views of the downtown. We will drive up to the Royal Takin’s Preserve for collecting unqiue faces of the national animal of Bhutan known as Takin.

Today in the morning, we will make most picture session at Dochula Pass which offers the majestic view of the whole range of Eastern Himalayas.

Later in the afternoon, we will visit the most important and impressive place to visit in Punakha that is Punakha Dzong. In the evening we will take a walk across the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel lobesa or similar

We will have a lovely stop at Rinchengang Village for meeting with the locals. After that we will start our drive to Phobjikha Valley.

In the afternoon, we will take a gangtey nature hike. This hike would offer the maximum opportunity to see the heavenly birds.

Overnight & Dinner: Dewachen Hotel

After our beautiful Gangtey Nature Trail we will continue our drive to Bumthang. On the way we will visit Trongsa Dzong, our ancenstrail home.

We will also visit the Trongsa Muesum, which houses lots of historical artifacts from the country.

Overnight & Dinner: Valley View Resort or similar

In the morning we will visit the Jambaby Lhakhang and Kurje Lhakhang.

Later in the afternoon we will also visit the burning lake and we will make a hike  uphill to the nunnery.

In the evening we will stroll around the town.

Morning after our breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and start our drive to off the beaten path so called Zhemgang. Zhemgang is the most remote part of Bhutan and the festival here is a time to meet with the real folks from the villages. There is lot of photo opportunity with locals in the tsechu festival.

In on the way will also visit the old Palace of the Second King of Bhutan, which is known as Kuenga Rabten Palace.

Today we will just chek in to our guest house and relax.

Overnight & Dinner: Twang Hotel

In the morning after our breakfast, we will drive to the festival venue. We will enjoy the full day festival with the locals here witnessing the mask dances and other cultural program. There is a holy unfurling of the biggest wall hanging also, where local believes that, if you get to see with your naked eyes it gets rids of your sin.

Lunch will be with the locals sitting together in the courtyard. We will continue to watch the dances until the late evening.

Later after our festival we will start our drive to the most stunning place ever in Bhutan that is Pangbang, were its nature’s paradise. Bird watchers and nature lovers loves this place. Therefore, this is a place where simply you enjoy with the nature. Do just nothing but hear the birds chirping with the river babbling around its gorges peacefully.

Overnight & Dinner: Tinny Eco Lodge

After our leisurely breakfast, we will start our day for watching more of birds and mammals. It is found that, this part our regions in Bhutan has the most rare and endangered species of birds and animals.

We will also visit the park centre and try Elephant safari, in Royal Manas National Park of Bhutan.

In the eveing, we will come back on foot on the road capturing birds and enjoying with the lush green nature.

Evening we will enjoy the local dish and ara with some local song and dance.

Overnight & Dinner: Pangbang Eco Lodge

In the morning, we have most wonderful pictures around the twin waterfall. There are lots of stops on the way especially if we get to see some Golden Languor.

We will try some picnic lunch on the way.
