Detailed Itinerary

Distance: 59 KM | Estimated Time: 1 Hour Drive | Altitude: 2300 m

As we make our way to Thimphu, we’ll pass by a variety of activities along the roadside, including organic stalls where locals sell fresh produce from their farms. These scenes will make for some lovely photos. Upon arrival, we’ll check in at our hotel and scout the best locations to capture the sunlight for our street photography tour in Bhutan’s capital. Early mornings and late evenings are always the best times for street photography, offering the perfect lighting for stunning shots.

Beginning early in the morning, we will experience the vibrant start of the day, witnessing the children, bustling cars, and busy people in town. You’ll also observe the unique manual hand signals used at the traffic roundabout.

Later, we’ll take a stroll through the local vegetable markets, where you can immerse yourself in the daily activities of people buying and selling fresh produce. You’ll also have the chance to encounter various ethnic groups, each with their own distinct appearance and culture.

Overnight & Dinner: Hotel Pelyang Boutique.

In the morning, we will visit the monastery and patiently wait for the locals as they come to pay their respects. It will be a wonderful opportunity to capture candid photos of them carrying their babies, wrapped in beautiful handwoven scarves on their backs.

In the afternoon, we will begin our journey to Punakha, driving through Dochula Pass, renowned for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Later, we will visit Chemi Lhakhang, a monastery built in the 15th century and associated with the Divine Madman, Lam Drupkha Kuenley.

The walk around the area will also offer us a glimpse into the daily activities of the villagers, as we observe them working on their farms.

Overnight & Dinner: Dharma Siddhi

Distance: 179 KM | Estimated Time: 3 Hours Drive

In the monrnig we will walk through the longest suspension bridge trying to capture the morning walk of the students to their schools through the lognest suspension bridge in Bhutan. The beautiful valley in the back drop.

We will also stop it for the tea break on the way and start our journey back tot Paro. In Paro town we will make some interesting street photography as the evening session is always better here with the oppostite fortresss will be hit by the rays of the sun with the sunset.

Overnight & Dinner: Kachi Grand

Distance: 11 KM | Estimated Time: 5 – 6 Hours

We will begin our hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery early in the morning, as the early light offers the best opportunities for stunning photos. The valley often shrouded in mist creates a mystical atmosphere, while the sun casting its rays on the tip of the monastery adds another breathtaking highlight to capture. Later, we’ll have the chance to photograph the locals, capturing their natural poses and adding an authentic touch to our day’s collection. In the evening, we’ll explore the charming town of Paro on foot, soaking in the local sights and atmosphere.

Dinner & Overnight: Kachi Grand

In the morning, we will take you to Paro International Airport, marking the end of our wonderful 7-day journey together. Although it’s bittersweet, we look forward to crossing paths again in the future.
